“When I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers

Hi and welcome! My name is Audrey and I’m so glad you’re here.

One of the most important elements of good therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. My plan is to show up as myself and hope that you feel empowered to show up as yourself too—and I mean your real self, no matter how messy or strange that person may be. It’s important that you know upfront I am not your map to a perfect life. I am a compass. I’m here to help you find your true north and to consistently remind you of it as you chart your own path for your life.

I received my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Western Carolina University and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. I work with adults who may find themselves struggling with loneliness, social anxiety, generalized anxiety and/or depression. I particularly enjoy working with neurodivergent young adults, affirming their experiences and helping them find ways to unmask within a system not built for them.

I work from a Motivational Interviewing framework that honors your autonomy and your readiness for change. If you want to build skills or try specific interventions, I often pull from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy practices. I aim to provide care that is LGBTQ+-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and sex positive. My office is a judgment-free zone where we are just as likely to dig into deep topics or crack some tension-relieving jokes.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading the iMDB trivia page of any movie I’m currently watching, spending 25 minutes smelling every single candle in Target, or patiently waiting for someone to mention one of my niche interests so I can info-dump about it.

I would be honored to partner with you to explore everything that is weird and heartbreaking and real and meaningful about life as you know it. If you’re interested in connecting, follow the links below. I look forward to meeting you!
