We are currently hiring new therapists to work with children, adolescents, and adults both in person at our Asheville office and virtually throughout North Carolina!

We have office-based, fully remote, and hybrid positions available!

BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent folx, and individuals of all abilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Your skills, knowledge and lived experiences are so valuable to us, to our clients, and to our community!

A quick note from Jill, the practice owner (I'm on the bottom right in the above photo!):

"My goal as an employer is to create a supportive work environment where you have space to create a meaningful, sustainable career doing the work you love.

Like many therapists, I personally was burnt crispy early in my career (farewell, thyroid functioning!) due to high caseload numbers, 24/7 on-call, constant understaffing, mounds of paperwork, so much unpaid (and underpaid!) labor, and a general lack of concern about my personal wellbeing that I 100% deeply understand what burnout feels like and I do not want any clinician to go through that same type of work experience.

I strive to provide a place for both our client AND our clinicians to truly flourish!"

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Master’s level licensed mental health clinicians (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, and Associates), with licensure in good standing, to provide mental health therapy in Asheville, NC and/or throughout NC via telehealth. We offer fully remote, fully on-site, and hybrid remote / on-site positions depending on your needs!

  • Available to work an average of 25 hours per week (20-23 clinical hours)

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill the following areas: diagnostic interviewing, rapport building, creation of treatment plans, implementation of interventions appropriate to goals, maintaining professional boundaries, and completing clinical documentation

  • Experience and/or training in trauma-informed care

  • Commitment to socially progressive approaches to mental health care, including an understanding of systemic oppression, cultural trauma, and intersectionality

  • LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC affirming, neurodivergent affirming, and affirming of all abilities and bodies and a desire to advocate for your clients on a larger social scale

What you can expect from us:

  • W-2 employment with a well established, reputable small mental health practice with onsite clinical support and approachable leadership

  • Pay rate of $50-$60 per 55-minute session (with "private pay" sessions paid at a higher rate!), bi-weekly payroll every other Friday

  • $18-20 hourly pay rate for approved “non-clinical” hours (ie attending staff meetings, required trainings, creating website content, networking opportunities, etc)

  • On-site, paid Clinical Supervision for LCSWAs and LCMHCAs

  • Monthly Case Consultation meetings and "as needed" case consultation with experienced clinicians

  • Up to $240 per year reimbursement for continuing education ($20 per month)

  • Quarterly staff outings so you can get to know your teammates outside of the office (like movie night, mocktail parties, drag brunch, game night, etc!)

  • Benefits include: Paid holidays (7 per year), paid sick time (3 days per year), and additional paid vacation based on length of employment; vision / dental insurance; short-Term Disability; $30K life insurance policy; access to Ally Health's free 24/7 primary care telehealth services; cancer and accident policies. Please note that we do not currently have an option for health insurance BUT we plan to offer a policy or a monthly stipend by the end of 2024!

  • Access to training opportunities through Mental Health Masterminds, Flourish's sister company: www.mhmasterminds.com

  • Access to a HIPAA secure health record system, email, and phone number for working with Flourish clients

  • Coverage under our company professional liability insurance for any therapeutic services offered through Flourish Counseling and Wellness, PLLC

  • Flexible scheduling and the lifestyle of private practice without having to worry about the overhead costs and responsibility of running a business.

  • We have a dedicated case manager on staff that handles obtaining and screening referrals, dealing with billing and insurance issues, as well as providing all of the case management support you need for coordinating client care ... so that you can show up, see clients, write your notes, and be DONE!

  • Opportunity to work in a small, supportive work community where your professional interests and development will be truly valued and nurtured, and where you can begin to build a sustainable career in the mental health field

A little more about Flourish:

We are a small private practice locally owned by Jill Williams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years clinical experience and a genuine desire to support clinicians in building their dream careers! Jill also sees clients and is onsite at our office weekly, offering clinical supervision and consultation.

Because we have been in Asheville for so many years and have had the opportunity to build solid relationships within the community, we typically receive referrals from doctor's offices, school counselors, other therapists, speech and occupational therapists, and through "word-of-mouth" recommendations.

As a team we are socially progressive, value lived experience in addition to clinical training and “letters” behind our names, and we strive to advocate for the needs of everyone in our community.

We believe that everyone has unique skillsets, ideas, dispositions, and interests and we want all of those voices at the table!

Interested candidates should send a resume with an introduction email to jill@flourishasheville.com (or by clicking here).
