We are currently hiring new therapists to work with children, adolescents, and adults both in person at our Asheville office and virtually throughout North Carolina!

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:


  • Master’s level, licensed mental health clinicians (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, etc), with licensure in good standing, to practice mental health therapy in Asheville, NC (*Associate licensed therapists may also be considered depending on experience.)

  • Adherence to the professional code of ethics of their license 

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill the following areas: diagnostic interviewing, rapport building, creation of treatment plans, implementation of interventions appropriate to goals, maintaining professional boundaries, and completing clinical documentation

  • Experience and/or training in trauma-informed care

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and family systems

  • Commitment to socially progressive approaches to mental health care, including an understanding of systemic oppression, cultural trauma, and intersectionality

  • Ability to conduct in-person therapy sessions at our office in Asheville and/or have access to a confidential, private workspace for telehealth

  • Can be patient with the process of building a caseload while awaiting insurance credentialing (most of our therapists have taken about 10-12 weeks to hit their full caseload numbers)

  • Ability to work late afternoons / evenings and potentially some weekend hours, especially during the early growth phase of building your caseload


What you can expect from us:


  • W-2 employment with a well established, reputable small mental health practice with a commission-based pay rate for “clinical” hours (55/45 split for fully licensed therapists and 45/55 split for associates) and $20 hourly pay rate for approved “non-clinical” hours (ie meetings, required trainings, etc)

  • The lifestyle of private practice without having to worry about the overhead costs and responsibility of running a business. We handle obtaining and screening referrals, case management faxes and calls, all aspects of billing, etc.

  • Clinicians are expected to see between 20-25 clients / sessions per week

  • Clear, transparent communication 

  • Nurturing, supportive, and encouraging leadership

  • Up to $200 per year reimbursement for continuing education

  • Up to 15 days of unpaid vacation time per year 

  • Access to a HIPAA secure health record system and email for working with Flourish clients

  • Coverage under our company professional liability insurance for any therapeutic services offered through Flourish Counseling and Wellness, PLLC

A little more about Flourish:


We are a small private practice locally owned by Jill Williams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with about 15 years clinical experience and a genuine desire to support clinicians in building their dream careers! Jill also sees clients and is onsite at our office weekly, offering clinical supervision and consultation.


Because we have been in Asheville for so many years and have had the opportunity to build solid relationships within the community, we typically receive referrals from doctor's offices, school counselors, other therapists, speech and occupational therapists, and through "word-of-mouth" recommendations. 


As a team we are socially progressive, value lived experience in addition to clinical training and “letters” behind our names, and we strive to advocate for the needs of everyone in our community. We believe that everyone has unique skillsets, ideas, dispositions, and interests and we want all of those voices at the table!
