Individual Therapy for Anxiety and
Stress Management

Less stress, more joy.

Are you going to completely lose it in the Target parking lot once in awhile? Yes, yes you will. I'm pretty sure we all will. Let's just not do it every day.

I view life as one long, complex obstacle course. I believe that we can learn the skills to navigate unexpected twists and turns with resiliency. Since it is impossible to always be graceful and gracious in your everyday life, I can help you learn healthy ways to handle emotional scrapes and bruises.

In our work together we will look for patterns, challenge unrealistic thoughts, unravel past experiences, learn new ways to manage daily stressors, and find creative solutions to old problems. Between my therapeutic know-how and your many existing strengths, we can do this!

Individual and Family Therapy for
Your Anxious Child

It's okay, we got this.

Parenting an anxious child can be freaking exhausting and guilt producing. Where did I do wrong? Am I a horrible parent? What if this never gets any better? How much longer can I handle this? Why can't I fix this?

Even though it doesn't always feel like it, you're probably doing just fine at this whole parenting thing. And your kid is probably going to be okay, too. Whether they are dealing with excessive worry and reassurance seeking, struggling with separation anxiety, having intense fears of bad weather or the dark or Q-tips, avoiding social situations, having difficulty sleeping, or crumbling under the weight of perfectionism, I've got you guys covered with both individual and family counseling.

Facilitated Support Groups for
Adults and Children

Even though it sometimes feels like it, you are never truly alone.

Humans thrive when surrounded by a community of caring others. And, believe it or not, there are plenty of other people out there facing situations similar to yours.

Groups are a fantastic way to connect, share experiences, and problem solve with a brand new community .

Find out about my current group offerings here.

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and private pay for services.

If using insurance, please contact BCBS to inquire about mental health benefits on your policy. I am happy to file a BCBS claim on your behalf; however, you are responsible for co-pays and/or deductible amounts at the time services are provided, as well as the full amount of claims not paid by BCBS.

Insurance cannot be billed for facilitated support groups

or for couples counseling.

Private pay fees are as follows:

* Individual Therapy / $150 for 55 minutes *

* Family Therapy / $200 for 55 minutes *

* Group Therapy / $50 for 75 minutes *

For group participants, a one-time individual intake session is required to determine whether facilitated support groups will be the most appropriate for your needs.

A quick word about parental involvement

As a parent myself, I know that you love your child more than anything and that you want the best care possible for your family. I recognize and respect the important role that you play in your child's life and, because of that, I do require your ongoing involvement in treatment.

Prior to meeting with your child, I require a full-length in-peron intake session with parents in order for us to determine whether I will be the best fit for your family's needs. My goal is to be supportive of your parenting as well as your child's individual needs and I want to make sure that we are on the same page surrounding some of the "basics."

One thing that I know is that children's needs change as they age. While younger children are heavily reliant upon you for support and guidance, it is typical for tweens and adolescents to crave independence from their parents. As a result, I strive to meet your child's developmental needs by keeping my office a nonjudgmental, emotionally safe, supportive, and confidential space for your child.
