Social Emotional Play Group for Preschoolers Age 4-5

We all need extra help sometimes and if you are four in the year 2021, almost half of your life has been spent in a pandemic. We are excited to offer a social-emotional skills group for preschoolers so that young children can have another fun learning environment  to work on social-emotional skills and receive the extra attention of a small group.

  • A 6 week long group for Pre-K children (4-5 years old) that may need extra support with building friendships and dealing with big feelings

  • Groups are limited to 4 children in order to allow each child to have focused attention

  • Group sessions are 30 minutes long, focused on skill building through a combination of play and peer interactions

  • Skills focused on will include:

    • Introducing self to others and asking to play

    • Naming our feelings

    • Age appropriate coping skills for difficult feelings

    • Respecting other’s space and perspective taking

  • There will also be three parent only support group sessions offered on ways to reinforce skills taught in group, ask Kelly Jean general questions, and to provide time to connect with other parents of young children

  •  Parents will also receive informative handouts and resource lists throughout the group.

Tuesdays from 9am-9:30am

October 19th-November 23rd

Parent only sessions will be offered Wednesdays:

October 27th from 9:00-10:00am

November 10th from 9:00-10:00am

This is a COVID conscious group setting. Masks are required.

Our office is located at 15 Larchmont Road in North Asheville.

To enroll your child, please call Kelly Jean Tucker at 828-373-1259 for a free initial screening call to ensure your child is a good fit for the group.

If it seems to be a good fit, we will schedule a brief 30 minute intake session to review your child’s needs and further discuss group expectations and details.

Cost:

Group sessions and parent only sessions are $50 each

The initial one-time 30 minute intake session is $25
